i'm glad my car has AC but nothing like that indoors , people often hide in large shopping malls like https://www.westfield.com/nl/netherlands/mallofthenetherlands or Museums , they also often have AC to keep the art collection in top condition.

Whoever, tells you global warming is a fad, send them to me. I am a geologist, and I know how to handle rude people since I work in oil and gas; so I can explain well. Not that the explanation in needed.
Most of the Netherlands, at least the populated areas, are below sea level.
