You know the other thing that is important I think; I live is South Texas and so I know hot and humid. But here we are designed to handle heat and humidity. From July to September we rarely venture outside of air conditioning! Over there most hotels and homes do not have air conditioning!

i'm glad my car has AC but nothing like that indoors , people often hide in large shopping malls like https://www.westfield.com/nl/netherlands/mallofthenetherlands or Museums , they also often have AC to keep the art collection in top condition.
