I enjoyed Bled as well when we went, did the mandatory boat trip out to the island. We didn't go to the castle as we were a little tired when we got to that part, but we did do a hike up to a viewpoint which was on the other side of the lake from the castle. It was very nice up there

Views from the castle is sweeping! Castle itself it not much to talk about but does house a good 3d model of the area and some excellent poetry
Interesting I can understand about 50% of Slovenski because while alphabet is different the words sound similar to Russian and Ukrainian words... and I would Interpret it back into English the following more literal way:
Stands, Stands there Bled castle
Standing, mountains, in front and behind (the mountains are in front and behind it)
Under the castle the lake is seen
Villages and hills are its guards (sentinels)
