I can't remember the last time I ever was in a traffic jam in Krabi. The only time something like that will happen is if a member of the royal family visits the summer home here. When that happens the roads are all closed anywhere near it and you simply cannot use those roads. That must be really irritating to the people that live near there but what are you going to do? shout at the military?

I have not spent much time in Krabi but I see now that they have re-opened direct flights from Chiang Mai to there. Perhaps I will give that a try next time and tell my phuket friends to meet me there instead.
