I don't disagree with that. I kind of loathe arriving there because I know my on hour flight from Chiang Mai is going to be followed by a much more lengthy and perhaps even more expensive than the flight, taxi ride. It's such a pain to go anywhere in Phuket and the fact that they keep expanding upwards just blows my mind. There is no where else to build anymore roads without tearing down a ton of already established businesses. I think that this definitely contributes to the overall stress levels of anywhere.

I can't remember the last time I ever was in a traffic jam in Krabi. The only time something like that will happen is if a member of the royal family visits the summer home here. When that happens the roads are all closed anywhere near it and you simply cannot use those roads. That must be really irritating to the people that live near there but what are you going to do? shout at the military?
