A wedding trip down south (1)

Malaysia is NOT a big country, but it is an actual "united states" of the Malay kingdom. Therefore, part of the country has a bigger state whilst others, not so.

My previous job, despite it has a horribly long working hours and super demanding clients, but our fellow colleagues are very well tied together. Despite our future career path difference, we remained very close friendship with each other's, make time to see each other.

One of our support team member is having a wedding dinner at Johor Bharu, one of the main city in the southern peninsular of west Malaysia, the few of us decided to make an effort to travel there.

My daughter also decided to take the opportunity to join us since it was the last weekend of school break🤣 so, this became a colleague get together and a brief introduction of working friend to my junior.

Our first stop is to pickup @teohrene from a corporation office near to her house, and then we drove down to Negeri Sembilan(ninth state), Seremban town at the Kepayang area for a quick brunch.

Food was really great and absolutely insane. We had curry noodles, springy instant noodle with sausages and eggs, toasted bread with luncheon meat, friend dumpling, dumpling soup, steam brown sugar cake and many more. Even the waitress advise us we can request to takeaway IF we can't finish our food 🤣 guess what, she underestimated us.

After the breakfast, we went further down to Malacca to meet one of our current colleague, which recently tendered her resignation. We have only met once a couple of months ago during a team building session, but still we thought it was an obligation to meet up, make every moment count.

We decided to meet at the A'Famosa outlet. The meeting place is at the lobby with a cool Mini Cooper there. To my surprise, when I looked into the car, it was NOT a shift stick. For the first time I saw an automatic transmission Mini Cooper in my life.

Malacca is yet another significant states of Malaysia when kingdom started. A very rich cultural studies of Malaysia begin here. However, our ultimate destination is not this. We will keep the Malacca introduction until next time.

Back the territorial distribution. From Kuala Lumpur drove to our breakfast place took about an hour, cross 1 state. From the ninth state we drove another half an hour, we are at Malacca. These two are equally small states in the southern peninsular.

From Malacca to drive into Johor takes another half an hour, and that will lead us go to different part of the state of Johor.
