That is so sad that Thailand seems so backward. I would like to visit Vietnam some day. My father in law is a war vet and would like to take him back there to visit now to see it, but pretty sure he wouldn't go.

well i wouldn't say that it is backwards. There are just a lot ofthings that are different from the west. I don't like over-policing but there are times that over here it seems like the police don't really do anything at all.
