Look My Strawberries Are Blooming and Fruiting! - My Strawberry Plant Updates

Here I am again to share another update about my strawberry plant here on our backyard!

It hasn’t rained here for three days now, so the weather has been really bright and pleasant. It's the best time to hang our laundry outside and do sunbathing. Hehe This morning, I have nothing more to do so I checked on my strawberry plant, and guess what, the fruits are getting bigger, and there are lots of flowers! Each pot already has around three to four blossoms, which means there will be plenty of strawberries for my kids to enjoy once they ripen.

I also noticed that some runners have started to grow longer, so I’ll need to transfer them to another pots soon. I water may strawberry every 5 days since it's cold here so the soil isn't easy to dry. I even fenced the area with an old net because our neighbors’ chicken keep turning my little garden into their playground! There are times that they just eat leaves of the strawberries. That’s why, while it’s still early, I decided to fence it just to make sure I’ll have something to harvest later on.

Having a small garden like this is such a blessing because I don’t need to buy strawberries from the market anymore, which are quite expensive. Plus, when you grow them yourself, you know they’re clean and organic, perfect for the kids who love to eat them. Eventually my kids really love strawberries.

So that’s the latest update on my strawberry plant here on my backyard.
