Today, we harvested a small part of our sugarcane farm because we needed additional financing for our farming expenses. The sugarcane cutters started their work very early in the morning. Everyone worked hard to cut and prepare the sugarcane for delivery.

Sugarcane farming is an important source of income for many farmers. It is a crop that requires patience because it takes a long time to grow. Sugarcane usually needs about 10 to 18 months before it is ready for harvest. The exact time depends on the weather, soil condition, and sugarcane variety.

The farming process starts with preparing the land. Farmers plow the field and make rows for planting. Healthy sugarcane stalks are then planted in the soil. After planting, the crop needs regular care. Farmers remove weeds, apply fertilizer, and monitor the field to help the sugarcane grow well. Good rainfall and proper field management are also important for a successful harvest.

One thing I like about sugarcane farming is its flexibility. When the sugarcane is already mature, farmers can decide when to harvest it. If there is an urgent need for money, a small portion of the field can be harvested. The remaining sugarcane can stay in the field and be harvested later. This gives farmers more options in managing their finances.

Sugarcane farming is not easy. It requires hard work, time, and patience. Farmers face different challenges such as changing weather conditions, pests, and rising farming costs. Even with these challenges, many farmers continue growing sugarcane because it can provide a good income when the harvest is successful.

Today's harvest was only a small part of our farm, but it was still a productive day. Seeing the harvested sugarcane reminds us that our hard work is paying off. Every harvest, whether big or small, is important for our family and our farming journey.
We are thankful for this blessing and for the people who helped with the harvest. We hope for a good harvest from the remaining sugarcane in the coming months.

Wow! I like sugarcane . Love to scrunch that until now at age 48. When I was living in province at early 80s , there were big farms in the place . During harvest like that after school , me and my cousins were looking for hidden sugarcane under its leaves during harvest and we bring it home .
Sugarcane π Yeah we are sweet π
Salute to all farmers out there π
I hope I can witness the harvesting process of sugarcane tooπ
