Last weekend, I took the time to visit one of the outdoor cafes and restaurants that’s been quite popular on social media lately. It was quite a distance from the village where I live. The trip took about an hour by car, though it might have taken much longer if there had been traffic.
Actually, my husband invited me to attend a party for one of his coworkers at a building in the city. The trip really got me excited; I love it when my husband invites me because he rarely takes me to formal events like this. It was quite a long drive from home, and there I met my husband’s coworkers; he introduced me to all of them. After about an hour there, once my husband’s photo session was over, I immediately suggested we leave because it was quite crowded and the weather was extremely hot.

Once we were out, I felt really uncomfortable in my dress, so I changed into something else and we continued on to a café that had long been a dream of mine. Today my husband granted my wish—even though he’d said it would have to wait until the end of the month, that’s exactly the kind of persuasion that made him give in.

Of course, before heading into the café area, I snapped a quick outfit photo in the parking lot—it’s that kind of place. There are lots of trees, it’s super comfortable, and the atmosphere is definitely very peaceful.

The name of the café is PujaSera Pim, one of the cafés and restaurants that was once a garden and has been transformed into a rather aesthetically pleasing outdoor café and restaurant. The area is quite spacious; I think it could accommodate hundreds of people, because it’s so vast with rows of chairs neatly arranged there. It’s very lush—the green trees are thriving. I really like it; even though the plants look young, they’re well-maintained, clean, and incredibly comfortable.

In addition to the dining area, there’s also a photo booth here—the kind that’s all the rage among Gen young these days and has been really popular in my area lately. I’m not really into trying it out, but maybe if I went with my best friend, it would be the perfect opportunity. Since my husband isn’t into taking photos, I’ll just skip it and take pictures from a distance. I’m not exactly sure how much the photo booth costs, but clearly, there’s a fee.

This is my first time here. The place is located within one of Aceh’s major companies, the PT. PIM housing complex Kruenggukueh, Aceh Utara. Before entering the complex, on your right, you’ll find a large mosque, a clinic, and a minimarket. The food court is right behind that PT. PIM minimarket.

I chose a seat that was fairly far inside, near the food stalls. Wow, it’s so unique—the food stalls there are neatly lined up, and there are so many food options to choose from.

The menu ranges from traditional dishes to international cuisine, various drinks and snacks, and even desserts—everything is available. That made us unsure of what to order. So, while looking at the menu, my husband helped me choose.

This time we didn’t go for the local dishes; my husband and I decided to try something more Western-style. Haha, I hope our taste buds can handle it, since I rarely eat steak. And I thought this was just an ordinary steak, nothing special compared to what you’d find at restaurants out there.

I was really curious about the steak because it’s their best-selling item. Steak remains my go-to dish, though the other options are also quite varied.

Tedjo’s chicken steak is the best-selling item here after the meat steak, so since I was curious about the crispy chicken steak, I decided to order them. From the outside, the steak are coated in a crispy batter and deep-fried. They’re then drizzled with a thick, dark-colored sauce that’s distinctly black pepper-flavored.

Not only that, the steak are served with french fries, along with boiled carrots and broccoli. Served on a hot plate, it retains its smoky aroma with the distinctive black pepper flavor.

The main part of the steak isn’t hard at all—the outside is crispy, but the inside is super tender, enhanced by the spicy flavor of the sauce. The sauce is very rich and thick, with just the right amount of cornstarch; I love the texture and the full-bodied seasoning. The price for these chicken sticks is also very affordable—just IDR 30,000.

The burger is pretty simple; this time we chose to order the tuna burger. It’s like a regular burger, but the difference is there’s no meat or chicken—we ordered shredded tuna that’s been seasoned and then layered into the burger patty along with sambal, an egg, and vegetables.

When I cut into it, it was truly delicious—there was plenty of tuna, and when I took a bite, the burger tasted amazing; there was no fishy smell at all, just the aroma of the spices inside.

The price of the burger is also quite affordable, in my opinion; for just IDR 15,000, you can enjoy a delicious, satisfying burger. My husband loved it so much that he finished it off—he even dipped it in my steak sauce because the steak sauce was indeed spicy.

The drinks we ordered were es teler and lechi tea. My husband really loves es teler—he really enjoys the combination of avocado mixed with corn, jackfruit, and other jellies. Es teler is typically known for its thick consistency and generous fillings. However, in my opinion, this es teler felt a bit lacking in texture—it wasn’t very creamy, and the avocado was almost nonexistent. That said, the taste itself wasn’t bad at all; it was just the creaminess and thickness of the es teler that fell short.

The price of this es teler is still quite affordable—just IDR 15,000 per cup, and you get a whole canned lychee inside the cup. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it. Overall, the lychee tea tastes really delicious. For those of you on a diet, be sure to ask for a little less sugar, just like I did.

After finishing our meal—we spent about two hours here—my husband and I went straight to the cashier to pay the bill. It’s very affordable—the prices are still very reasonable for our area. The food is all under IDR 50,000 and tastes great, even though the es teler isn’t very thick, but at least 85 percent of the flavors are delicious. I really love the steak and burgers—they’re that good. I highly recommend this café to anyone visiting.

This was a special experience for me—enjoying such unique dishes. The place has such a charming atmosphere, and coming here with my loved ones is sure to make anyone happy, isn’t it? I hope that one day, when my little family is complete, I can come back here again.

The café looks really a quite place and the dishes looks good by the way I liked your first dress a lot seems elegant also if maybe uncomfortable 😘
Thank you. The food was really great—I’ll definitely be back. The dress was really pretty, but it was so hot in here. I changed into something more casual when I went to the café so I could eat more comfortably.

It looks like a quiet, pleasant place. I especially like the fact that you were able to share that moment with your husband. That’s really meaningful.
Thank you—my husband and I really enjoyed all the dishes here.
What a lovely account of your recent adventure. I’m delighted to hear that your husband invited you to such a special event; those shared moments are truly precious. The thrill of exploring a new café that has caught your interest is a wonderful way to enjoy life, even when circumstances – such as the heat or the crowds – can be challenging.
PujaSera Pim sounds like a charming place, full of life and possibilities. It’s fascinating how spaces can become havens where we can find peace and contentment. The variety on the menu is also a reminder that sometimes it’s good to step outside our comfort zone, even when it comes to what we eat.
I hope the steak was as delicious as you’d hoped. Sometimes, it’s the little pleasures that truly enrich our lives. Keep enjoying those moments and seeking out new adventures.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog, have a nice day 😊
