Exactly two years ago today, the HIVE account @worldmappin was created, marking the transition of the Pinmapple project into the WorldMappin project. A lot has happened with the project since then. It took a while for the developers to get up to speed with the code base from back then, and now we have our own frontend, which is constantly being improved. The HIVE social blogging frontends, such as PeakD and Ecency, have also built direct integration of WorldMappin features over the years. Today, exactly two years later, I can say that our developers, managers, curators, and other staff at WorldMappin are doing a great job!

So what’s next?
You can read about that in @worldmappin's latest post:

We’re currently working hard to get the mobile apps for Android and iOS ready so that it’s easier for travelers out there to share their travel experiences and tips from around the world with us. Along with that, we’re also working on taking “Journeys” to the next level—displaying the various places you’ve visited in a timeline-style format. And, of course, a dedicated editor to quickly and easily compile content on the go, so it can be published as an attractive and engaging Hive blog post. And since we already know that writing a long article on a phone is pretty tedious, we need to come up with something special here. After all, other frontends should also have the ability to display travel articles beautifully.
Unfortunately, the DHF proposal from WorldMappin hasn’t been funded again... Maybe you’d like to support it and help drive the work at WorldMappin forward?
Wow, it's been two years already? That is crazy! I never would have guessed.
Gratuliere @Worldmappin und dem Team!
Das schreit ja förmlich nach einem Hive-Camp Festival'27 powered by @worldmappin zum dritten Geburtstag
