Exploring the Grand Palace in Bangkok

Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a day that maybe even brought one or the other new experience into your life! I have decided to share some impressions again today that I have collected while travelling and I am happy if you appreciate what I do.

Right on the first day when I arrived in Bangkok, I decided to visit the Grand palace which is probably one of the highlights of the country which should be put on every travel list. Already before I have decided to reserve online an ticket which was not possible due to maintenance work on the website but the support has kindly pointed out to me that it's no problem to purchase a ticket on site which I finally did for the price of about 500 Baht. The ticket included access to the various palaces which can be found on the site and there was also a small museum to visit and in general the waiting time was not too long because I was here during the early hours. During my visit there was an official celebration there, which is why hundreds of locals in traditional clothes were here and I was happy about it to get this authentic insight and later learned that it often happens that important events are celebrated here.

It is also the spot on which the new king is officially crowned, which is why it's one of the most important places of the country and has a very important symbolic value that links different elements such as religion, monarchy or religion witch each other. The palace was already built during the 18th century during the Chakri dynasty which was founded at that time by the well-known ruler Rama I and this was also the time when it became the official residence of the kings of the country in which different kings lived over generations. The palace itself consists of different parts and while the ceremonies were held in the middle part, the royal family lived inside and in general different influences can be seen everywhere when it comes to architecture and in addition to the classical one, even influences from the European area can be seen here. The temple is a living proof of the passion for art and it seems as if different art epochs are merging here and the visit was also a moment that amazed me and enriched the first day in Bangkok extremely. In total, I spent a few hours here and this is also my tip to plan as much time as possible for other visitors.

Our first day in Bangkok sounds unforgettable. Walking through the Grand Place in the early hours, surrounded by locals in traditional clothing during an official celebration.

(The temple is a living proof of the passion for art )I completely agree with this phrase, what catches my attention are the images; they look somewhat strange, that is, they are not pleasing to the eye, but the architecture of the temple is indeed beautiful.
