Exploring Huay Kaew Waterfall in Chiang Mai

Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you to my new post and hope you have a day so far which has brought some interesting experience in your life! Anyone who follows my blog knows that I like to write about my travelling experiences and today it should be about it again.

I love to visit natural places and also in Thailand I had insights into some of the beauties of the country just as the well-known Huay Kaew waterfall which is located near Chiang Mai. I was relatively central in the city and therefore it was even better for me to escape into nature and I did even not had to drive that far because the waterfall can be found only a few kilometres away from the centre and within a short time I have reached the spot by bolt. Chiang Mai has often been described as one of the most beautiful cities in Asia and I am also of the opinion that this is definitely partly true and besides the hundreds of temples inside the city, there is so much nature to explore outside and this waterfall was just one of the places I have explored.

This waterfall is located in a national park in which a lot of forest area can be found and in general I remember this place as extremely quiet and in addition there was an extremely spiritual mood which even made itself noticeable to someone who meditated in front of the waterfall. When I was in Thailand it was just the end of the rainy season, which is why there was probably an above-average amount of water to be seen, but I think that during the dry times everything looks different again and much less water can be seen than in my pictures. Even if it seems very tempting to balance on the stones in front of the waterfall, I was personally a bit careful because it was also very slippery, but there are some places to climb up on the edge to listen directly to the noise of the waterfall.

Absolutely worth mentioning is also the hiking trail which is located on the left site to the waterfall and it's perfect for a hike and I myself also walked there for a few minutes until I turned around again but theoretically the path can be followed and people will even arrive at the next sight. Then I went even further and took a red taxi which were everywhere in front of the site and drove to Doi Suthep where I also had a lot to see again and even if the drive was a bit exhausting because of all the curves I still arrived well at the end. I will probably write something about the further experience on this day in one of the next posts, but I would like to end the article for today and finally recommend this breathtaking place to every visitor of Chiang Mai!
