These are wild ants in Thailand that mostly live on mango trees. Collecting them is a very difficult process, and it's also seasonal.
This post is a continuation, and there will be another one where I'll tell you how we cook them.

Wow! I'm undecided which part would be uglier for me... trying to eat those ants or eggs, or trying to catch them with that long bamboo pole! 😂
