From the sand to the sea

One of the great things about my current vacations (that unfortunately are quickly ending) is being able to combine culture and ancient civilizations, with some sightseeing... and to end in style, some relaxing days.

Although it's currently winter here, I won't mind, with temperatures above 22 degrees, even reaching 26-27 degrees in some days! And yes, most of the country is desertic, but in contrast, it also has a huge coastal area facing on the the most awesome locations to see marine wildlife: the red sea! So this means decent beach weather AND with an added bonus!

Even just a few meters from the sea shore you can already find corals, and while some are not exactly the most pretty, I can't complain about the wildlife visiting them. How cool is to grab a mask and a snorkel, swim a few meters... and find a cutie like this?

A blue spotted ray, and tons of other creatures. I did see a lot more of these, because my idea of relaxing days meant hooping a boat, and diving for three days!

Swapped the towel in the sand by the diving gear, and off to adventure! So many dives, so many awesome creatures and places!

The company I chose has really nice boats, where you can relax in between dives. For what I've been told in high season these boats ar packed! No space for lazy sun soaking. If that's the case, I kind of prefer this option, even if the diving conditions aren't the best, since the water is quite cold relative to the summer time: I got 24 degrees, and apparently its quite warm to this time of the year.

I took tons of underwater photos, but already preparing myself to the fact that 90% plus will be crap. Still, if I can get some decent shots of the landscape and a few of the creatures I saw, I'll be more than glad. While I don't arrive home to do a proper selection, the boat view is what I can share... and I won't complain about these views either.

Time flies when you're having fun. But I'm blessed to have scratched diving in the red sea from my to-do list. For now, I'll just enjoy the last day in this amazing country, and if the weather allows it, maybe snap a few more photos while snorkeling tomorrow!

Have a great weekend!

What a wonderful journey, my friend! And for you is no other better way of ending those day with some fun dive activity. Impressive how can be possible to spot sting rays a few meters away from the shore, and only with the snorkeling equipment. Can't wait to see the selection of the underwater fotos that you taken. Pretty sure that some of them would be very decent and very interesting. I've placed my bet :)
Have a great weekend, and enjoy it to the fullest!

Yes! That happen so much to me. Even I take a normal week walk, and then I saw something that wakes up my attention, take a photo or two that seems ok. As I open in the computer monitor, after the transfer, disappointment shows up in form of BLUR! Ahaha
