At last!

Nature's scents, sunsets, mountain rivers, family and friends: we don't need that much more, do we?
My last getaway to one of my favorite places was too quick, but fortunately now I have a few decent days to relax and unwind. Part of family is here as well, since the yearly celebration of the village's saint is almost here, as well as some childhood friends; so perfect to catch up.

The swimming pool is almost empty, so the mornings are confusion free, alternating lounging in the sun with some lazy dives and swimming, and finally having the time to catch up on some postponed reading.
And in the afternoon, time to explore the countless spots in the mountain rivers to go for a swim. Yes, the water is cold.

But the temperatures rose this week and the 30 plus degrees make the experience perfect.
Besides, who can complain with these settings??

With the extra bonus that I could still find some wild berries on the way to the river! There aren't as many as a few years ago, but they're still as sweet as ever.

My younger cousin has been showing me some new spots in nearby village, and although they're a little further away, the trip is definitely worth it.

I can only imagine what other amazing places nearby are yet to discover!
I feel incredibly relaxed already and only a couple days have passed, but this place has this effect on me. There are a lot of plans in the coming days, including adding a new country to my list, but for now, it's time to enjoy...

... and recharge! 🙂

Beautiful swimming holes on the mountain river! plus the wild blackberries and steaks on the grill. Looks like an awesome visit so far.
