HELLO, HIVE!

We've already visited the secret little beach without waves in Agonda and had a wonderful time there, sunbathing and swimming in the calm backwater. And now our bodies are desperately craving a mug of hot black tea, maybe even with some fresh naan bread straight from the oven. Indian flatbreads are wonderful, especially with butter naan, our favorite! We strolled along the beach from the western edge of the bay toward the center and eventually chose a more decent Indian eatery with soft lounge chairs. The ducks at the entrance were also welcoming... Why not stop in? We quickly poked our noses at the menu, and the cafe immediately passed the "lice test." I'll talk more about that in the next part about food, but for now, we'll get a general overview of the establishment, the beach, showers, restrooms, etc.

The choice intuitively fell on the Green Valley cafe. This is part of the Seaesta Resort, a hotel complex consisting of a cafe and bungalow-style cottages with sea views. We weren't particularly interested in the bungalows, as we arrived without an overnight stay and would be leaving at 4 pm, but a cafe with sun loungers in the shade was quite an interesting idea. The photo clearly shows a pristine April beach without sun loungers or sunscreen. Oh, olive turtles, what wouldn't we do for your health? For you, sun loungers have been banned from the beach this season! Peace and quiet, 80th-level relaxation on Agonda Beach! No loud music, no banana boats, no parasailing, or other noisy entertainment. Just the sound of the wind (the wind here can be quite strong at times), the rustling of the waves, and 4 kilometers of hot yellow-red sand. The sand is really hot; you can run barefoot to the sea and back, but you'll be squealing, and you'll definitely run, not just stroll. The wide stretch of sand on the beach is a delight to the eye! Vast spaces!

Near one of the ducks near the stairs leading to the grounds (the cafe is about 50 centimeters above the beach), there's a metal shower stand—a good and necessary thing. Washing off the salty seawater with warm fresh water is both pleasant and beneficial. We couldn't find a changing room, so you have to go to the restroom to change. Okay, let's head there right away and check out the local "facilities"!

There's a sign with an arrow hanging on one of the palm trees deep in the grounds. Okay, let's go right, since that's what it says. And those green roofs on the sand clearly once stood on the beach; they're the roofs of sun umbrellas! Oh, turtles! How you ruin my usual relaxation!

Wir haben den kleinen, versteckten Strand ohne Wellen in Agonda bereits besucht und dort eine wundervolle Zeit verbracht – beim Sonnenbaden und Schwimmen im ruhigen Wasser. Jetzt sehnen wir uns nach einer Tasse heißem Schwarztee, vielleicht sogar mit frischem Naan-Brot direkt aus dem Ofen. Indische Fladenbrote sind einfach köstlich, besonders Butter-Naan, unser Favorit! Wir schlenderten am Strand entlang vom westlichen Rand der Bucht in Richtung Zentrum und entschieden uns schließlich für ein etwas ansprechenderes indisches Restaurant mit bequemen Liegestühlen. Die Enten am Eingang wirkten auch sehr einladend … Warum also nicht einkehren? Wir warfen einen kurzen Blick auf die Speisekarte, und das Café bestand sofort den „Läusetest“. Mehr dazu im nächsten Teil über das Essen, aber jetzt erst einmal ein allgemeiner Überblick über das Lokal, den Strand, die Duschen, die Toiletten usw.

Die Wahl fiel intuitiv auf das Green Valley Café. Dies ist Teil des Seaesta Resorts, einer Hotelanlage mit Café und Bungalows mit Meerblick. Die Bungalows interessierten uns nicht besonders, da wir nur kurz da waren und um 16 Uhr abreisen würden. Ein Café mit Liegestühlen im Schatten hingegen klang verlockend. Das Foto zeigt einen unberührten Aprilstrand ohne Liegestühle und Sonnencreme. Ach, ihr lieben Meeresschildkröten, was würden wir nicht alles für euch tun! Für euch sind Liegestühle in dieser Saison am Strand verboten! Ruhe und Entspannung pur am Agonda Beach! Keine laute Musik, keine Bananenboote, kein Parasailing oder andere laute Unterhaltung. Nur das Rauschen des Windes (der hier manchmal recht stark wehen kann), das Plätschern der Wellen und vier Kilometer heißer, gelb-roter Sand. Der Sand ist wirklich heiß; man kann barfuß zum Meer und zurück rennen, aber man wird schreien und definitiv rennen, nicht nur schlendern. Der weite Sandstrand ist eine Augenweide! Weite, unendliche Weite!

In der Nähe einer der Enten am Treppenaufgang zum Gelände (das Café liegt etwa 50 Zentimeter über dem Strand) befindet sich eine Duschkabine aus Metall – eine gute und notwendige Sache. Das salzige Meerwasser mit warmem Süßwasser abzuwaschen, ist wohltuend und erfrischend. Wir konnten keine Umkleidekabine finden, also muss man zum Umziehen auf die Toilette. Okay, gehen wir gleich dorthin und sehen uns die örtlichen „Einrichtungen“ an!

An einer der Palmen im hinteren Teil des Geländes hängt ein Schild mit einem Pfeil. Okay, gehen wir nach rechts, so steht es da. Und diese grünen Dächer im Sand standen eindeutig einmal am Strand; es sind die Dächer von Sonnenschirmen! Oh, Schildkröten! Wie ihr doch meine Entspannung ruiniert!
