So the fishermen can put whatever they want in the water, but heaven forbid a dog were to go in! That's where they draw the line! It does look like a beautiful area though. I'm lucky to have the Great Lakes within driving distance in just about every direction I might want to go.
Thanks for that comparison. Yes, I hadn't thought about that but it is totally stupid. On the north end of the beach there seems to be less in the way of rules, When I ride past there i see dogs running around, which isn't perfect either because I am a big advocate of leashes but I also have let Nadi run around without one. I suppose it is ok if your dog listens to you and isn't vicious.
We have a new walking area around the corner from us and it drives me crazy when I see people walking their dogs there. It's not because I hate dogs obviously, but there are clearly signs that say no dogs allowed. Which is honestly kind of dumb because it is a great area for people to walk dogs, but I think what bugs me the most is people thinking the rules don't apply to them. I just know if we still had Jo we would have loved to take her there to walk, but we wouldn't have because the signs say no dogs. Again, I know this isn't you, so I don't want you to think I am complaining about you. It's just this whole over-reaching entitlement that people have these days.
