Ah the old 350d and nifty fifty combo, that brings back some memories. Shooting with just those fixed primes on trips really forced you to move your feet. Good luck with the round.

Exactly so! we used to joke at the time, that "your feet is your zoom". Considering that was mostly a sail trip, around dozens of tiny islands... sounds especially funny. Well, all in all, it did the job for the landscapes. After a few years I changed it to Canon 1.4 which did not make me feel much better -- but eventually, Sigma's 1.4 did. Thats how my 50-mm evolution looked like thru the years :)
