Honestly, I live in West Mindanao. Our place is a beautiful, safe, and full of tourist attractions.

Unfortunately, those cases you are pertaining to actually did happen in specific places inhabited by those armed people who do guerilla warfares.

But Mindanao is really a safe place and it is not true that war is always happening here. We are also stereotyped by other Filipinos who lived in Luzon (Northern Philippines) that Mindanao is not safe and is having an everyday war due to guerilla, but the truth is that Mindanao is a paradise.
As a Christian, we live in harmony here together with our Muslim brethrens.

Just do not trespass to those places declared as prohibited by the government and Philippine Army.

Mindanao is not what you think. If you wanna experience it personally, I promise to you that it is safer than the other parts of the Philippines.
