Karelia... It's like Russian Finland. I've been there too, and there's a lot to compare it to. In a conversation with farmers who rent houses to vacationers, the question about additional services is: "Why? Everything suits us as it is; there are a lot of people who want to relax."
In Russia, if a vacation includes extra services, the price immediately becomes so high that it’s often easier and cheaper to travel abroad.
That’s exactly what happened in Altai Mountains — it used to be cheap and accessible, but now it’s more expensive than going to Turkey.
