#1222 - More of Camp John Hay Shots for Thursday.

Moving now to our daily shots one early morning when we left our room at the Benguet Prime Hotel, the hotel was a bit old and not fancy with low review ratings but it was cheap and incredibly practical because it was situated right in the center of Baguio City, accessible to almost all the major sites. We didn't have to walk far to get anywhere. We loaded up our luggage into our workhorse, an Isuzu Crosswind. I was traveling with my wife, a couple of our good friends and their cute dog named Boston. Since we had a long drive back to Manila, we decided to extend our trip a little bit longer before going back down to the lowlands.

We drove to Camp John Hay because it’s such a peaceful place. Our first mission was coffee, so we stopped by the Starbucks there and ordered some takeaway coffee and a Matcha latte for me. It was quite chilly that morning and those warm cups was exactly what we needed.

Then we headed straight to the picnic area. It was a beautiful spot as ever, surrounded by tall pine trees. We found a table and had to pay a fee for the use. If I am not mistaken, it cost us about 500 pesos to rent which was a fair price for a nice view.

The best part was breakfast. We brought food from Jollibee. There is something satisfying about eating their crispy fried chicken in the cold weather of Baguio. We sat there for a couple of hours, just enjoying our meal and the fresh air.

Our friends dog was having the time of his life running around with a leash while we ate. We spent a really good time here, catching up and sharing stories. Also, we took lots of photos and shots of the scenery to document our last moments in the city.

Eventually, we had to pack up. We gathered our things, said goodbye to the pine trees, and started our journey back to Metro Manila. It was a long drive, leaving Baguio City behind. As we descended, we felt the temperature rise, reminding us that our vacation was over. It was a bit sad to go, but we were grateful for the wonderful morning we had.
