#1196 - Manila Museum Shots for Sunday.

A peaceful Sunday my wonderful Hive friends across the map! I hope this day finds you in a state of pure relaxation, untouched by the worries of tomorrow. Sundays are a gentle gift, simply breathe before the week begins all over again. I hope you are able to spend today surrounded by comfort and the people you love most. Take care of yourselves and enjoy every quiet moment!

Moving now to our daily shots one lazy Sunday with my wife, our son and I after a walk and jog in University of the Philippines Diliman Campus were looking for something to do after. We decided to head over to the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila. It had been years since our last visit here, walking through those grand doors again felt like experiencing it for the very first time. We felt like complete newcomers who are eager to see what we had forgotten. The best part about our decision? Entering the museum is completely free. There are no entrance fees at all which makes it an incredibly budget friendly and perfect activity for a family looking to spend quality time together without breaking the bank.

Right at the far end of the main gallery was a painting of Jose Rizal and seeing it up close again was breathtaking. We stood here for a long time, just admiring the sheer talent.

We also wander into the other rooms and it felt like we were walking through a maze of Filipino history and creativity. Each room we entered had a different theme and a different atmosphere. We saw countless paintings hanging on the walls, from classical portraits of important figures to beautiful landscapes.

But it wasn't just paintings that caught our eye. There were also rooms filled with incredible wooden art. The craftsmanship of the local woodworkers from centuries ago was mind blowing.

We spent 2 hours atleast just walking from room to room, pointing things out to each other and reading the placards. Because it was free, there was no pressure to rush through. We could take our time and really absorb the arts around us and it was definitely one of the best family Sundays we have had in a long time.
