#1195 - Sunflowers at University of the Philippines Diliman Campus for Friday.

A fantastic Friday incredible Hive friends waking up around the world! We have officially crossed the finish line of another busy week. Take a deep breath and give yourself a huge pat on the back for surviving and thriving over the last five days. Wishing everyone a safe and incredibly happy Friday. Cheers to the weekend😊!

Now for our daily shots at the University of the Philippines Diliman Campus one early in the morning. My wife and I had just finished our usual jogging routine around the Academic Oval Ona weekend. It was a sunny early morning, the sky is a perfect clear blue and the sunlight filters through the acacia trees. Our heart rates were slowing down when we went in front of the Oblation statue.

Just across it were vibrant patch of yellow just a few meters away. The area was full of blooming sunflowers. It is always a beautiful sight and early in the morning it is spectacular. Every single one of them was facing the early morning sun, like a yellow army. Their large petals looked like they were glowing.

Just like us, many other runners and walkers who had finished their laps were toward the sunflowers. Everyone had their phones out. Some people were taking group selfies while some posing solo with the flowers. It was funny to see sweaty people in running gear appreciate a bit of nature.

My wife and I also noticed the tiny bees. The flowers were alive with them. These little creatures were hard at work, flying from one bloom to another. You could clearly see their little legs covered in yellow pollen dust. They were so focused on their task, ignoring us humans standing around them.

Standing here in the morning breeze while watching the bees work and admiring the sunflowers in the morning sun felt peaceful. It was a wonderful end to our morning run that day.
