#1145 - More of Our 4 Lakes Kabayan Benguet Shots for Wednesday.
A very happy Wednesday my beloved Hive family across the globe! I hope today finds you in high spirits and ready to tackle it with energy. A little kindness goes a long way so letβs spread positivity wherever we can. Keep shining and enjoy the dayπ.
Now for our daily shots one late afternoon when we're deep on the trail, pushing to reach the second set of lakes in Kabayan, Benguet. It was just my wife, our good friend Dandreb and myself, following behind our local lady guide who's only 19 year old. We were on our way toward what the locals call Lake Latep and Lake Incolos with the atmosphere around us changed dramatically. The bright sun was gone replaced by a foggy and gloomy weather.

The cold weather was starting to bite much sharper than I had expected for that time of day, reminding us just how high up we were in the mountains. The fog that seemed to wrap around the trees where the fog gave the forest a mysterious feel.

We didn't rush the hike. From time to time, we stop walking just to digest it all in and take photos of the nature surrounding us. The scenery was stunning. We snapped pictures of the trees and the small plants. There was a certain beauty in gloom that our camera just couldn't fully capture., better to be seen.

Our young guide she was an absolute gem. As we hike, she kept us entertained with stories about their lakes and the history of the land. She told us about the significance of these waters to their community and shared local legends that have been passed down to them for generations. Her voice was warm even though she was barely able to speak Tagalog she tried her best.

The combination of the cold air, the beautiful fog and the l story telling made for an unforgettable afternoon hike. We were getting closer to the lakes. But for now, we were just enjoying the journey, one story and one photo at a time. There is still more to tell about this adventure so keep following π.
