#1093 - Lovely Pagudpud Beach Shots for Saturday.

Now for our daily shots, one upon an afternoon when the north wind was whipping at Saud Beach. The sky was like a dramatic blanket of gray with the sun completely covered by clouds and the famous Ilocos winds in full force. We were here in Saud for one reason and that's to feel the legendary "white fine sands" of Pagudpud. My son Pochi, my wife, our friend Dandreb and I were amazed by the beach. The sand was incredible, powdery soft and so fine it felt like walking on silk.

The waves were small and manageable as it reached the shallow waters. That's when we saw several local beach dogs exploring the beach. Two or three joyful askals completely carefree decided to stopped by our area that afternoon. They dash into the shallows then race back with each others. It was a raw, energetic and untamed moment with these friendly dogs.

The next day was a different contrast with our late afternoon at the beachfront of our transient house just a few meters from the back of the house. The beach had a gentle and salty breeze. This time, the sky was clear and was offering a front row seat to a sunset golden hour masterpiece.

We sat on the more grainy sand as the sun began its descent while transforming from gold to glowing orange. It painted a shimmering path of golden light across the calm sea right before our eyes. The water is where the sun's reflection bounce and burned. The only sounds were the soft small waves and our conversation.

We took some photos but mostly we just watched the perfect orange sunset wash over us. It was a deep, relaxing reward, a private peaceful moment with the North Philippine Sea beauty. It was the kind of quiet moment that fills you up with beautiful memories.
