Beautiful violet blooming species of the genus Linum.

Schöne violettblühende Art der Gattung 'Lein' (Linum).
The following two photos of species of the genus Helleborus are already somewhat older: these plants are blooming in winter!

The 'leopard lily' (Iris domestica) - you know it already, but I think one cannot photograph it often enough. :)

Die 'Leopardenblume' (Iris domestica) - ihr kennt sie bereits, aber ich finde, man kann sie nicht oft genug fotografieren! :)
This violet beauty belongs to the genus Phlox ("flame").

Dieses violette Schöheit gehört zur Gattung der 'Flammenblumen' (Phlox).
'Large earth bumblebee' (Bombus terrestris) first on 'lavender Edelweiss' (Lavandula x intermedia 'Edelweiss'), then flying.

'Dunkle Erdhummel' (Bombus terrestris) erst auf 'Provence-Lavendel Edelweiß' (Lavandula x intermedia 'Edelweiß'), dann fliegend.
Yellow rose (genus Rosa), in the background 'true lavender' (Lavandula angustifolia).

Gelbe Rose (Gattung Rosa), im Hintergrund 'echter Lavendel' (Lavandula angustifolia).
'Rock hyssop' (Hyssopus officinalis ssp.aristatus).

'Zwerg-Ysop' (Hyssopus officinalis ssp.aristatus).
Bombus lapidarius on Asclepias tuberosa.

'Steinhummel' (Bombus lapidarius) auf 'knolliger Seidenpflanze' (Asclepias tuberosa).
Finally something to eat: blackberries (subgenus Rubus).

'Common grape vine' (Vitis vinifera) - variety: 'Muscat Bleu'. The fruits aren't getting blue before they are ripe.

Weintrauben (Vitis vinifera) - Varietät: 'Muscat Bleu'. Blau werden die Früchte erst, wenn sie reif sind.

I actually haven't seen as many bees this year, or butterflies either. 🙁

Ich bin ja mal wieder aus mehreren Gründen fasziniert:
Zum einen, dass du so viele Pflanzen und Tiere mit wissenschaftlichen Namen kennst,
Zum zweiten, dass ihr einen so reichhaltigen und bunten Garten habt mit derart vielen verschiedenen Arten. Habt ihr die eigentlich gezielt gesetzt/gesät oder ist das Wildwuchs?
Und zum dritten von der Natur selbst, dass sie solch unterschiedliche Farben und Formen hervorbringt. Und natürlich auch, wie sich Blüten entwickeln, öffnen, schließen,... Und das alles ohne Muskeln und Gehirne ;-)
