🛖🐴🐱🏰 A Yurt for Sale, a Donkey, Ever-Friendlier Cats & the Tower of Cagli

A Saturday dedicated to rest... more or less: a bit of fixing up at home, very little physical activity (my step counter asked for a day off), a trip to a friend with a yurt to sell and an evening stroll around Cagli. Grab a coffee, here's how it went. ☕👇

🛠️ Rest and fixing things up at home

A day of truce: some repairs and tidying at home and very little physical activity. My step counter sent me a notification: "Are you okay?" I told it I was recovering. 😌

🛖 A trip to a friend (and her yurt)

Then a trip to a friend who wants to sell her yurt. For those who don't know, a yurt is the round tent of Central Asian nomads: a round house, so no corners to hide the dust in. 😅

She lives in a magnificent place among the hills and nature, with hens, horses and a donkey, plus several dogs and cats. Another little paradise, but with more hooves than ours: here I have hens and Choko the dog; there they also have horses, a donkey and a whole gang of dogs and cats. I felt like an amateur. 🐴🐕

🐱 The neighbour's cats: trust is built on kibble

During the day I refilled the food dispenser for the neighbour's cats (the room service started a few days ago) and they appreciate it: they let me get closer and closer. The tabby-and-white cat below even granted me a close-up. The secret? Kibble: the only currency that opens every feline heart around here. 😸

🏰 The evening: the Tower of Cagli

The day ended with a stroll around Cagli, where the Torrione, a massive round fifteenth-century bastion by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, lit up at night, let itself be photographed without any fuss, unlike the cats. With its sloping base and the ring of corbels at the top, it looks like a stone crown placed on the town. 👑
