When we last travelled they were measuring carry ons and plenty of passengers failed their luggage. The overheads are never adequate and I only have my computer bag with me and the suitcase in the hold. Prices will change soon enough due to abuse and any carry on bag will have a fee so at least it will put an end to this.

just like the "emotional support animals" by giving people and option to do something nice a bunch of people take advantage until the industry cannot keep up with it and scraps it.
If I have a choice, I ALWAYS check my bag. Why the hell would you want to be lugging that thing around the airport during layovers? It's really stupid.
I only keep my laptop bag with me and there is no need for another bag.
