Yesterday moved at a gentle, unhurried pace.
After breakfast, I stayed a little longer over another coffee, letting the morning settle in before heading out. Lunch was simple and local — quick street food, fast and cheap, exactly what the day called for.

From there, I wandered into the supermarket, grabbed a tea from the bakery, and filled my basket with a few small essentials. I walked back to the hostel to drop everything off, then set out again for what I thought would be a straightforward task.
The plan was to find the booking office at a gas station. It turned into a long walk — and a small lesson in patience. When I finally arrived, I was told there was no office there at all. Instead, it was at another station, right between the bus station and the supermarket… a place I had just passed.
So I turned around and walked it all again.
On the way back, I passed by Kibo Palace. It was already getting late, and I decided to head up to the rooftop to check on Kilimanjaro. The mountain was hidden behind clouds once more, but I still took a few photos — a quiet moment, even without the view I had hoped for.

This time, the right gas station was easy to find. I got my bus times, travel durations, and prices — all the information I needed for the next step of the journey.

I ended the evening back at the hostel with a Coke, a cup of tea, and a chocolate cake from earlier. Tired legs, a calm mind, and that simple satisfaction that comes from walking through a place instead of rushing past it.
