What a trip it has been, we have had so much fun visiting our family in Darwin. At times we had rain and at times very hot sunny days, but regardless of the weather we had fun.
The first few days after landing in Darwin we had my niece stay with us at my wifeโs parents house. That was fun for my girls and her as they got to spend some much needed time together and we got to go around the area doing a few things like swimming at one of the local pools. We could have went swimming in one of the local water holes but we may not have come back out. Those crocodiles are everywhere up here in the water. Especially this time of the year as it is wet season in Darwin. They only really have two seasons up here wet and dry.

In the middle of the week we had a few days at home and just went for walks mainly. The weather was consistent in the respect that it would rain at least once a day then stop and get humid. Walking when it rains is possible if you donโt mind looking like a drowned rat as I donโt think I saw any light showers. Every time it rained it rained heavily and you would have been drenched almost immediately if you tried walking in it.
But once the rain dried up and the sun was out you could go for a walk and try to find shade where you could as the sun will give you a nice burn if you stay out in it long enough. I probably should have done a before and after on my tan line as I have definitely gotten a tan while I was up here.

On the a few days before we leave we went over to my brother in laws and we had a barbecue for lunch. A few other family members showed up there as well and we had all the family from the top end there to sit and have a chat with.
After lunch we got to take the buggies for a ride around the farm . It was fun just to cruise around on them and check out the farm. It took me back to when I was younger and when I was growing up my aunty had a farm and I grew up on farms around the area where I lived riding bikes and driving buggies was just what we did to pass the time.
The next day we went out playing mini golf and had fun together trying to beat each other. I managed to get a hole in one. My daughter asked me how I did it as the coarse was challenging, and I let her know it was just luck. I did used to play and it helped with the putting, but I was not skilled enough to just get home in one due to my talent. If I played more it would be more likely. It was also my first time on the coarse so I did not know all the angles and lies on the coarse so definitely just luck.

After the game of mini golf we went to have some lunch in the bistro at the club . It was good to be inside after being out in the sun, it was hot ๐ฅต whilst playing out there. But at-least we got to have fun together. The meal was great as well as the service. I had the grilled Barramundi as that is one of the local fish from Darwin and I wanted to get a fresh meal. I was not disappointed.
We are now at the airport awaiting to fly home to Sydney. It will be great once we are finally home. I have chosen to do my post earlier today as I will not get time later as we will be traveling home.

STOPGreat read, and amazing to hear everything went well ๐ It's close to 8 am for me and I now feel like eating that Barramundi. Sounds delicious - but even if I could I should probably eat it later ๐
Was the hole in one on the course in the picture?
And... that hat. That is AWESOME!!
