RE: Kranjska Gora

I went to that part around 15 years ago with my then-girlfriend who had family in Slovenia. It was such an amazing experience. Your post about Bled made me go back there, but I forgot to comment, so here's my "thanks for bringing back memories!"

Back then, we did a two day trip to Venice by train. That was quite the experience, as the train station in Slovenia didn't have any time tables, and the station guard was like "It arrives some time between 3 and 4pm." Venice was quite the experience, too. I was told it changed a lot since then, yet again.

15 years is a very long time. Currently they are rebuilding the Ljubljana train station completely.

I can't quite remember where in Slovenia we were. It was a smaller town with a big river and in the Alps.

The water was always as you described in your post about Bled - turquise. Just beautiful.

Living fences were everywhere. I thought it was grape vines, but since we went in early spring, we didn't identify them as easily as with leaves.

That was me back then. I've changed a little since then.
