This is the sheep mentality of travelling these days. Personally if I am the last one on I am happy as it is less sitting time. I travelled with someone once who had to go and sit by the gate 4 hours before boarding. I just could not do it and the mind boggles for one good reason which there are none.

There's enough space for everyone's bags and if I am the last person on the plane I feel the same way. I travel light so even if I have to block my own foot area with my own bag I'm fine with that. I just find it upsetting that such a large group of people can be such idiots as a community. All of them there, standing in a ducked down position even though they can clearly see that there are 27 lanes of seats that have to exit the plane before they can. This is something dumbass children would do.
