Yes, I read that in the Wikipedia piece. Her life is remarkable on so many levels. I like that she understood she was exploited, that other men, rich men, were taking credit for her work. She didn't accept her 'humble' status.

Nice that you and your wife are geologists. Makes me wonder what path the kids will take.

My husband and I met at work, but we hated our jobs. Not professional work, just work that paid. I think one thing we shared about our jobs was that we both hated them :))

I find it ironic (only appropriate) that the Royal Geological Society does have a permanent exhibit both online and physical!

It does mention the irony and may I say their blunder at the time...

Due to her gender, Anning was never a member of the Geological Society, however this exhibition uncovers her presence and influence in our collections through her direct and indirect relationships with our Fellows.
