One of the simple things we enjoy the most here is taking evening walks along the beach of the Gulf of Thailand. We usually head out a little before sunset. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or simply don’t know what to do, the beach always helps clear my head.
Each time I try to choose a different spot. Luckily the coastline around Pattaya is long, and it’s easy to find a place that matches your mood. Sometimes the location itself doesn’t even matter that much. If you enjoy photographing nature, even a small stretch of sand can be interesting — especially when the tide leaves behind beautiful shells scattered along the shore.

This time we went to the beach together with my son. It was already around 5 PM, so we had roughly an hour before sunset to take a few photos.
While I was busy adjusting the camera settings, my son ran along the shoreline searching for interesting shells for me to photograph. For him it turned into a little adventure — almost like a treasure hunt along the beach.
Earlier that day I gave him my old iPhone X, and he immediately became fascinated with it. He kept exploring the settings and trying to take his own photos. It was funny to watch how seriously he approached it — carefully aiming the phone and checking the result like a real photographer.

Children love to copy what adults do, and my son is no exception. Of course I played along and praised his successful shots. Maybe one day I’ll even publish a small post with photos taken entirely by him. I think that could turn into an interesting little experiment.

But back home work is waiting for me, and without that work journeys like this would simply not be possible.

I love shells, especially when you have some nice sand to add as background. Nice shorts!
I see your son is having the time of his life :)
