  As the first light of dawn touched the snowy peaks, the entire mountain turned into a brilliant gold. It was a moment of pure awe and peace that made all the cold and fatigue disappear. I hope these photos bring some of that Himalayan energy to your day.

I woke up early and waited in the biting cold, hoping to see the snowy peaks in the morning light. But the moment I saw the sun rising, my heart felt so warm and full of happiness. The cold didn't matter anymore; the sun was a warm gift to my soul.

추운 날씨에도 아침 설경을 볼 수 있다는 말에 설레는 마음으로 일찍 일어나 기다렸습니다. 매서운 추위 속에서 마침내 떠오르는 태양을 마주하는 순간, 얼어붙었던 몸과 마음이 한순간에 따뜻해지며 말할 수 없는 행복감을 느꼈습니다. 그 햇살은 마치 제게 주는 따뜻한 선물 같았습니다

This was my 8th visit to Nepal, but it was the first time in 8 years that I witnessed such a magnificent snowy landscape. I waited in the biting cold, but the moment the sun rose above the peaks, my heart was filled with warmth and pure happiness. It felt like a gift for my long-standing love for the Himalayas.

네팔을 벌써 8번째 방문했지만, 이런 경이로운 설경은 8년 만에 처음이었습니다. 매서운 추위 속에서 떨며 기다린 보람이 있었죠. 태양이 봉우리 위로 떠오르는 순간, 얼어붙었던 제 마음은 따뜻한 행복으로 가득 찼습니다. 히말라야를 향한 제 오랜 진심에 산이 보내준 선물 같았습니다.

I’ve always been fascinated by Nepal, often watching videos of mountaineers climbing Annapurna or K2. As I looked at the peaks, I wondered if someone was pushing their limits up there at that very moment. I even pulled the maximum zoom on my camera, half-joking and half-hoping to catch a glimpse of a climber. It might sound silly, but my heart was racing with the thought that I might capture a hero’s journey on my lens.

평소 네팔에 관심이 많아 안나푸르나나 K2 정상에 오르는 산악인들의 영상을 자주 챙겨보곤 합니다. 그래서인지 설산을 바라보며 '지금 이 순간에도 누군가 저 높은 곳을 오르고 있지 않을까?' 하는 생각이 들더군요. 조금 우습게 들릴지 모르지만, 혹시라도 등반하는 사람의 모습이 찍힐까 봐 카메라 줌을 최대한 당겨 구석구석을 살펴보기도 했습니다. 제 렌즈에 누군가의 위대한 여정이 담기지 않을까 하는 설렘에 가슴이 두근거렸습니다.

They say it’s rare to see such clear, cloudless snowy peaks even if you visit this place. I felt so incredibly grateful to witness the magnificent mountains under a perfectly clear sky. I’m so happy to bring home these countless memories and share them with you all. It truly was a gift of a day.
