Hey there my Hive friends and followers!
My family and I just got back from a short but very nice trip and I thought it would be a good excuse to finally post something on my blog again as it’s been ages since I last wrote anything here.
The destination of our trip was Warsaw — a city I had heard a lot about and had actually even visited briefly many years ago while passing through on a bus from Prague to Vilnius. I knew the city was famous for its impressive high-rise downtown, which has even earned it the nickname “the New York of Europe,” and that was exactly what we came for — the stunning views and the big-city atmosphere :)
And you bet that, in that respect, Warsaw really delivered. I booked three nights in a nice and cozy apartment on the 20th floor of one of the older skyscrapers right in the city center, so we had some pretty decent views straight from the windows and balcony but we also checked out some of the city’s well-known viewpoints, including the one in the PKiN (Palace of Culture and Science).
Without further ado, here are a few shots of some of Warsaw’s iconic architecture, taken from different heights and angles :)

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the city’s downtown. We actually visited the Old Town as well and I hope to post some pictures from there too. Hopefully, it won´t take me forever again :)
Beautiful photos of Warsaw
Best wishes to you and your family

Thanks for your nice comment and curation! :)
I would have expected a lot more historical buildings. It looks quite modern! Very cool!
Well, Warsaw has its Old Town too and that´s where you can find the historical stuff :) Thanks for stopping by man!
Nice to see that you are back here!
Hey! I actually never left, just don´t post often :)
Hey friend, what an impressive way to share a bit of Warsaw!... And I'm so glad to see you back here again!... Sending blessings and hugs to you and everyone in your family!

Nice to see you back again!
We went to Poland the other year, in fact it was after we met in Krakow!
Hey Pauline! I know :) I actually remembered your own post about the PKiN. Shame on me that it took me so long to finally visit the capital city of our northern neighbors.
Thanks for stopping by - I hope everything is going well at your end!
All I can see is buildings everywhere, @phortun... Haha!
Warsaw is on my list of places I want to visit.
Well, this post kind of was about buildings but Warsaw is much more than just this. There are many amazing parks and natural places too! :)
I know. I was just kidding (or at least trying), haha!
This picture has some sort of cinematic feel to it...
Yeah, I like this one too :) Thanks for checking out the pictures.
Zajímavé pohledy. Ty večerní a PKiN se mi líbí víc :-)
Popravdě jsem moc nevěděl, kterou fotku k tobě přihlásit. Možná by se nějaké večerní opravdu dařilo lépe :)
Někdy je to složité. A pohnutky hodnotitelů nevyzpytatelné :-)
How amazing! I would never have guessed one might want to see Warsaw for its skyscrapers! Actually, it's a kind of achievement to build skyscrapers here, considering the fact that Warsaw lies on sand and not on rock, unlike New York. But I hope there are other, maybe even more interesting places to visit here.
Thanks for your comment! I know what you mean. But you know, we have a lot of historic (and historical) cities here in Czechia too so that wouldn´t feel so special to us (as much as I love, for example, Krakow) but this spectacular high rise skyline is something we don´t have, even in Prague :)
