[ENG/PL] Through My Lens: Mountains, Night Skies, and Water Horizons | Hello Photography Lovers!

Hello Photography Lovers community!

I’m thrilled to share my very first post here. Photography has been a deeply rewarding passion for me, focusing mainly on mountain landscapes, night skies, and natural textures in Poland and Slovakia (Tatra Mountains and Beskids). I love captured moments where lighting, silence, and scale come together.
By day, I work in cybersecurity, and working remotely allows me to recharge my batteries for weekend trips into the wild. I've been doing photography recreationally for about 6 months—that's when I decided to take a step forward beyond mobile photography and bought my first proper camera gear. You can see the results in the frames below, and this setup will be sticking with me for a long time before I master it enough to even think about an upgrade!

For my opening post, I’ve put together five frames that showcase my visual journey and technical approach:

4x5_FULL_JPEG.jpg

1. Milky Way Over the Mountain Refuge
Details: Sony A7III | Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS | K&F Tripod, no tracker! 24mm | f/3.5 | 15s | ISO 10000

High up in the Beskidy, clear nights reveal an extraordinary view of the galactic core. This frame captures the Milky Way hovering directly above the mountain refuge, complemented by a brilliant meteor trail slicing through the sky. Astrophotography takes patience and cold nights, but results like this make every second count.

----- 32 frames stacked in Sequator, gradient removal in GraXpert, Star removal in StarNet, and final editing and stretching in Luminar, sky and foreground separation, foreground taken using exposure bracketing -----

2. High Altitude Wildlife: The Tatra Chamois
Details: Sony A7III | Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS | K&F CPL | 240mm, APSC CROP | f/6.3 | 1/500s| ISO 160

Crossing paths with wildlife on a rocky ridge is always memorable. I captured this chamois during late afternoon light, highlighting its golden-lit fur against a soft, naturally blurred background.

---- Editing in Luminar, just some basic exposure correction, curves, HSL and masking -----

3. Light Rays in the Woods
Details: Sony A7III | Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS | K&F CPL | 240mm | f/10 | 1/8000s | ISO 800

Early morning mist in the Beskidy Mountains combined with low sun angles creates instant atmosphere. Walking through the forest as sunbeams pierce through the dense canopy feels like stepping into a peaceful, quiet sanctuary.

---- Editing in Luminar, just some basic exposure correction, HSL -----

4. Golden Hour Long Exposure at the Żywieckie Lake
Details: Sony A7III | Sony FE 24-240mm | K&F Concept VND Filter + CPL Filter + Tripod | 27mm | f/10 | 15s | ISO 100

Long exposure photography around calm bodies of water brings out remarkable textures. By using a Variable ND filter, I smoothed out the surface of the lake during sunset, drawing focus to the weathered log resting along the shore, revealed by the severe drought currently hitting this region.

----- Editing in Luminar, Layering and masking exposure correction, curves, HSL, blending -----

5. Jagged Peaks and Changing Weather
Details: Sony A7III | Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS | K&F Concept CPL Filter | 42mm| f/10 | 1/250s | ISO 100

Mountain conditions shift instantly. I framed this vertical shot just as dramatic sunlight broke through the fog, throwing sharp contrast onto the granite peaks below. This is one of my favourite photos so far, and i know i could have done it better :) It is just reminder, that we are learning form our own mistakes in the best way !
