& other faces. once upon a time, i took a long walk down the autumny streets of prague, and made some friends. lost them in the meantime, but i still got a couple memories. i'm a big fan of atlases and gargoyles. of faces, in general. always intrigued that people just wander by, ignoring them. as though they weren't really there. you know?
these folks holding up our feet. keeping us breathing. that someone poured such care and effort in. i'm not tryna be clever, though it's true i could be talking people just as well. the careless ways in which we sift each other past. the lovingly sculpted noses others set out to break or simply take for granted.
i just wanted to show you the pictures. i just wanted to relieve the bleakness of winter, to relive an autumny day. to relieve the weight of my camera in my hands. it's never only one thing.
i particularly like these last guys. the weary and the hopeful. the protective mesh, protecting whom? the way it kinda makes it seem like they're lugging a building around inside a mesh sack. we stopped doing that, you know. expecting ordinary backs to hoist up our worlds. we just rely on gravity, instead. suppose that's why all my pictures are shot from below. :)

Praha ❤️
Karl would make for a great gargoyle too! :)
It is sad how people just walk past the gargoyles, atlases and other faces! Is that not how many go through life? Not really seeing the people they meet?
I hope you're keeping well @honeydue Your photos are really nice!
Prague surely has something mesmerising with all the sculptures. I already miss walking down the street and have my attention captured by all the buildings that include these :)
That gargoyles and atlases you shared look majestic and awesome @honeydue. I really believe you are a fan of them, as you are so good of spotting them and taking photos that perfectly captured the meaning of those structures. I love how human effort carved these kinds of art, that might often get overlooked, but still has various significance.
This one captured my attention. It looks eerie but I am not certain what it is trying to portray. Can you share ideas about this? I'm curious. Anyways, for now, thank you for sharing this story. I enjoyed it.
