Infrared Photography in Hamburg Part Two
Hello HIVEs!
After a week's delay, I've picked myself up again to write an HIVE article. As promised, I present to you the second part of the infrared series from Hamburg.
The pictures shown today were taken in September 2025.
Nach einwöchiger Verzögerung, habe ich mich wieder aufgerafft um einen HIVE-Artikel zu schreiben. Wie versprochen, präsentiere ich dir den zweiten Teil der Infrarotserie aus Hamburg.
Die heute gezeigten Bilder wurden im September 2025 aufgenommen.
After visiting the deer park on Elbchaussee, we drove to St. Pauli the next day to see the green bunker. It is an anti-aircraft bunker from World War II. Originally, it was 38 meters high. The bunker was extended by another five floors, so that it now reaches a height of 58 meters and offers a wonderful view over Hamburg from the roof terrace.
The extended part of the building houses cafés, bars, restaurants, a hotel, and several exhibition rooms.
The Green Bunker in Hamburg can be visited free of charge via a “mountain path.”
Nachdem wir den Hirschpark an der Elbchaussee besucht hatten, fuhren wir am nächsten Tag nach St. Pauli um den grünen Bunker zu besichtigen. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Flakbunker aus dem zweiten Weltkrieg. Ursprünglich hatte er eine Höhe von 38m. Der Bunker wurde um weitere fünf Etagen aufgestockt, so dass er nun eine Höhe von 58m erreicht und von der Dachterrasse eine wunderbare Aussicht über Hamburg bietet.
Der aufgestockte Gebäudeteil beherbergt Cafés, Bars, Restaurants, ein Hotel, sowie einige Ausstellungsräume.
Den Grünen Bunker in Hamburg kann man kostenlos über einen „Bergpfad“ besichtigen.
The images were captured with a modified NICON Z5, from which the hot mirror filter had been removed. A Meike MK-EFTZ-C VND drop-in filter autofocus mount lens adapter for Canon EF/EF-S lenses on Nikon Z series was mounted on the camera. A Canon EF 16-35mm F4 USM EF lens was used. I used a PRO HD OR550 drop filter for the shots. Post-processing was then carried out in Darktable.
Aufgenommen wurden die Bilder mit einer modifizierten NICON Z5, bei der der Hotmirror Filter entfernt wurde. An der Kamera war ein Meike MK-EFTZ-C VND Drop-In Filter Autofokus Mount Objektivadapter für Canon EF/EF-S Objektive auf Nikon Z Serie montiert. Als Objektiv diente ein Canon EF 16-35mm F4 USM EF. Für die Aufnahmen setzte ich einen Drop-Filter PRO HD OR550 ein. Die Nachbearbeitung erfolgte dann in Darktable.
