My Colorful Bougainvillea Bonsai Family in Indonesia

I just had to stop and take a photo of these little guys today.

This is Bougainvillea, but in Indonesia we call it "Bunga Kertas" = Paper Flower.
And yes, we love to grow them as bonsai here

Look at the colors!
I have deep purple, hot pink, soft peach, and bright red all in one corner.
Each pot is like a tiny tree full of flowers. No leaves showing, just color everywhere.

Fun fact: In Indonesia, bougainvillea is super easy to grow.
We put them in the sun, water them a little, and they bloom like crazy all year.
That’s why you see them on almost every street and in front of houses here.

For me, these bonsai remind me that big beauty can come in small pots.
They don’t need much space, but they give so much joy.
