Dawn over the eastern Mediterranean- My Actifit Report Card: September 2 2026

This morning I had only one idea.
To wake up before dawn, I leave the hotel room and watch the sunrise on the promenade between Pernera and Protaras.

But as the temperature was perfect for walking, the moment the sun rose in the east, somewhere over Lebanon (or maybe Syria?), I decided not to go back to the hotel and continue my nap before breakfast, but to continue this walk.

Maybe also because this is a great opportunity for a #wednesdaywalk

I have had the opportunity to walk this boardwalk in 2019 and 2023, but I have never done it this early.

This is probably the reason why I have never walked the entire promenade from Pernera beach to Fig Tree beach and a little further in one walk.

In the merciless, bright Cyprus sun, walking 5,000 to 6,000 steps in one direction during the day is not possible.
But with this mild morning sun, it was a very pleasant activity.

I'm sharing with you some pictures from today's walk, and I'll present individual beaches to you on another occasion, probably when I return from vacation and when I have a little more time to write, because now, after a serious morning walk, I don't have time to type on my phone, I have to lie on the beach, swim, sunbathe and enjoy #summervibes
