Skopje / Vodno Mountain (Macedonia) Travel for March 8th

Greetings to everyone. Yesterday was Women's Day, so I would also like to congratulate all the ladies on their holiday and my post today is connected to this day. According to tradition, on the eve of March 8th, our wives went to concerts and later to celebrations.A very popular couple from my country was visiting the neighboring country of Macedonia. Our wives decided to go to their concert. It wasn't difficult for us because Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, is 100km away.At the same time, I wanted to see Skopje again and I heard that a lot has changed and been built. Once upon a time, when Macedonia was part of my country, we went there for every new wardrobe purchase.We crossed the border very quickly because one of our friends was working. We waited a little longer at their border, but mostly we arrived very quickly and first bought tickets for our ladies and we walked around the city.Концерт је одржан у Филхармонији, што и приличи нашим великим звездама Јелени Томашевић и Ивану Босиљчићу, које жене обожавају са уздахом.

The city is really quite built up. In this photo is the Bridge of Arts and there are many sculptures on it.

This is the Archaeological Museum and it's something new that wasn't there the last time I was there. What remains in my memory is the Stone Bridge on the Vardar River.






After the concert, we headed to Vodno Mountain. We had a reservation there for the celebration the next day and spent the night there.They built it very beautifully, and there used to be nothing beautiful there.There is the Millennium Cross, with the monastery complex of St. Pantaleon, and Vodno also has a park-forest, mountain lodges, several catering facilities with well-maintained hiking trails, car parks and wide panoramic views. From Vodno, you can see almost the entire Skopje Valley and the city of Skopje.







We visited Matka Canyon, took a boat ride and returned to the motel. We packed our bags, thanked them for the well-organized celebration. We went down to the resort and sat down to eat a cake before leaving.
Of course, a waiter packed it for us. Some fruit and some prosecco, he says, to help you along the way. We had a very nice time these two days. I hope you liked my post.
