It was a very, very cold Sunday for someone not used to this weather. My wife and I were strolling through the streets of Madrid, and it was actually our last day in that city and country, so we couldn't waste it. The sunset was beautiful; the sky offered a gradient of light that shifted through shades of blue, violet, yellow, and orange. I remember that afternoon as perfect, especially its final hours, and it was also the closest I'd ever been to anything related to royalty, because our last walk was near the Royal Palace. I'd already passed by it a couple of times, but the magic of the place drew us back, and I was even inspired to take some photographs.
If you've read me before here on Hive, you know how much I value every little detail life has to offer. I find happiness and gratitude even in the shapes of the clouds. A few years ago, after hitting rock bottom, I understood the importance of being alive and enjoying every moment. Chaos always surrounds us, but it's more bearable when we focus on being positive and grateful for everything we have, even if it's little. This concert tour in Spain was planned in a short time, and I had never left my country before. I remember the joy I felt knowing that this would be the first country I would visit, as I had always dreamed of seeing it, and suddenly there I was, strolling hand in hand with my wife amidst beautiful architecture and the freshest weather I had ever experienced.
The sun was about to set, and with this phone I have, I knew I had to take the best photos to remember the trip by, using the remaining light. Even though I was practically using my new phone for the first time on this trip, I realized from the start that the light was perfect for my photos. I wanted to capture the color of the sky and the area around the palace with few tourists, since it was the last day of Holy Week and the streets were almost empty. It's impossible to look at these photos and not remember the peace and happiness I felt at that moment. Then came saying goodbye to our friends who live in Spain, and in the darkness of the night, we returned to the hotel to pack our bags... It was a perfect farewell to Madrid, and these are the ideal photos to start week 97 of the Phone Photography Contest, organized by @untilwelearn 🙏

Espectacular colores has podido captar y disfrutar... ¡Felicidades!
Hello, Jesus, good day.
It's true that it was very cold in the city; I could see that in the last photo.
It's great that you made the most of your last moment in the city to take a walk on this beautiful afternoon.
Beautiful photos.
