Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un decorativo compuesto realizado en plastilina, inspirado en la temática de este mes: las tradiciones.

Para esta creación quise representar parte de las tradiciones cubanas, especialmente nuestra música campesina y la figura del guajiro, símbolo de la identidad y cultura de mi país, Cuba. Por eso elaboré un pequeño guajirito con su sombrero de yarey, su vestimenta tradicional, unas maracas, instrumento representativo de nuestra música cubana, y un árbol inspirado en nuestros campos.

Los invito a acompañarme y conocer cómo fui realizando cada detalle de este trabajo paso a paso.

✨Materiales utilizados:

-Plastilinas de colores variados (blanca, rosada, azul, verde y otras tonalidades).
-Objetos de punta fina y punta gruesa para moldear.
-Pincel.
-Acuarelas.
-Piedrecitas coloridas pequeñas.
-Imán pequeño.

✨Modo de confección

Para realizar este decorativo compuesto en plastilina, dividí el proceso de elaboración en tres momentos: un primer momento, donde elaboré el guajirito cubano; un segundo momento, donde realicé sus accesorios, como el sombrero de yarey y las maracas; y un tercer momento, donde confeccioné el árbol decorativo y finalmente unifiqué todos los elementos para completar la composición.

✨Pasos para realizar el guajirito cubano

Lo primero que realicé fue la estructura del guajirito cubano. Para ello dividí la plastilina en pequeñas porciones que fui moldeando con ayuda de mis manos hasta crear cada una de las partes de la figura: la cabeza con una forma circular, el cuerpo con una estructura alargada, los brazos y pies con formas más pequeñas, y el cabello a partir de una pequeña porción de plastilina moldeada en forma plana para colocarla sobre la cabeza.

Una vez listas todas las piezas, las unifiqué colocando cada parte en el lugar correspondiente. Con ayuda de las yemas de mis dedos fui suavizando las uniones y eliminando los pliegues para lograr una superficie más uniforme.

Después, con ayuda de objetos de punta fina, realicé relieves y detalles sobre la superficie de la figura, resaltando algunos elementos del rostro y la vestimenta.

Finalmente, incorporé plastilina de otros colores para crear la vestimenta del guajirito, colocándola sobre la superficie y extendiéndola suavemente con mis dedos hasta obtener el efecto deseado.

✨Pasos para la confección de los accesorios

Para realizar las maracas, tomé pequeñas porciones de plastilina de diferentes colores. Primero moldeé dos bolitas de tamaño similar para crear el cuerpo de ambas maracas.

Luego elaboré los mangos con otra tonalidad de plastilina, dándoles una forma alargada. Una vez listas las piezas, unifiqué cada bolita con su respectivo mango y suavicé las uniones con ayuda de mis yemas.

Después continué con la elaboración del sombrero de yarey, moldeando una porción de plastilina hasta obtener una estructura plana y dándole forma con mis manos hasta lograr la apariencia de un sombrero tradicional.

Una vez terminados los accesorios, los coloqué sobre el guajirito cubano y añadí algunos detalles finales en su vestimenta.

✨Pasos para la confección del árbol decorativo

Para realizar este árbol decorativo, dividí su elaboración en tres partes principales: las hojas, el tronco y los frutos.

Para crear las hojas, tomé plastilina verde y la dividí en dos porciones. Formé dos bolas grandes, las moldeé con mis manos y realicé presión hasta obtener una estructura más plana. Luego trabajé los bordes con pequeños pellizcos para crear un relieve similar al de las hojas.

Para elaborar el tronco utilicé plastilina marrón, dándole una forma alargada y gruesa mediante presión y movimientos con mis manos hasta obtener una estructura semejante a un tronco natural.

Finalmente, para los frutos utilicé plastilina naranja, realizando pequeñas bolitas que coloqué sobre la parte superior de las hojas.

Una vez listas todas las partes, unifiqué los elementos hasta formar el árbol completo y lo coloqué junto al guajirito cubano.

Después, con ayuda de acuarelas y pincel, realicé algunas pinceladas en tonalidades verde, negro, marrón y naranja para resaltar detalles, profundizar colores y darle mayor vida a la creación.

Como detalle final, coloqué pequeñas piedrecitas brillantes en los ojos del guajirito para resaltar su expresión y añadí los imanes en la parte posterior de cada elemento, dejándolos listos para colocarlos en la nevera u otros espacios del hogar.

De esta manera quedó terminado mi decorativo compuesto, una creación inspirada en nuestras tradiciones cubanas.

Decorative clay composition: Cuban peasant bringing joy to the countryside with his maracas

Today I want to share with you a decorative composition made with modeling clay, inspired by this month's theme: traditions.

For this creation, I wanted to represent part of Cuban traditions, especially our peasant music and the figure of the Cuban peasant, a symbol of the identity and culture of my country, Cuba. That is why I created a little Cuban peasant wearing his yarey hat, his traditional clothing, some maracas, a representative instrument of our Cuban music, and a tree inspired by our countryside.

✨Materials used:

-Modeling clay in different colors (white, pink, blue, green, and other shades).
-Fine and thick pointed tools for shaping.

-Watercolors.

-Small magnet.

✨Creation process

To make this decorative composition with modeling clay, I divided the creation process into three moments: a first moment, where I created the Cuban peasant; a second moment, where I made his accessories, such as the yarey hat and the maracas; and a third moment, where I created the decorative tree and finally unified all the elements to complete the composition.

✨Steps to create the Cuban peasant

The first thing I did was create the structure of the Cuban peasant. To do this, I divided the modeling clay into small portions that I shaped with my hands until I created each part of the figure: the head with a circular shape, the body with an elongated structure, the arms and feet with smaller shapes, and the hair made from a small portion of clay molded into a flat shape to place on the head.

Once all the pieces were ready, I joined them together, placing each part in its corresponding place. With the help of my fingertips, I smoothed the joints and removed the folds to achieve a more uniform surface.

Then, using fine pointed tools, I created reliefs and details on the surface of the figure, highlighting some elements of the face and clothing.

Finally, I added modeling clay in other colors to create the peasant's clothing, placing it on the surface and gently spreading it with my fingers until I achieved the desired effect.
Once the main structure of the Cuban peasant was finished, I continued with the creation of his accessories.

✨Steps for making the accessories

To create the maracas, I took small portions of modeling clay in different colors. First, I shaped two small balls of similar size to create the body of both maracas.

Then I made the handles using another shade of modeling clay, giving them an elongated shape. Once the pieces were ready, I joined each ball with its corresponding handle and smoothed the connections with my fingertips.

To give them a more colorful and representative appearance, I added small details of modeling clay on the surface of the balls, creating a two-tone design.

After that, I continued with the creation of the yarey hat. For this, I took a portion of modeling clay, formed a ball, and flattened it with my hands until I obtained a flatter structure. Then I pressed the center to create the characteristic relief and shaped the edges until achieving the appearance of a traditional Cuban hat.

Once the accessories were finished, I placed them on the Cuban peasant and added some final details to his clothing.

✨Steps for making the decorative tree

To create this decorative tree, I divided its creation into three main parts: the leaves, the trunk, and the fruits.

To make the leaves, I took green modeling clay and divided it into two portions. I formed two large balls, shaped them with my hands, and pressed them until obtaining a flatter structure. Then I worked on the edges with small pinching movements to create a relief similar to the leaves.

To make the trunk, I used brown modeling clay, giving it an elongated and thick shape through pressure and movements with my hands until achieving a structure similar to a natural trunk.

Finally, for the fruits, I used orange modeling clay, creating small balls that I placed on the upper part of the leaves.

Once all the parts were ready, I joined the elements together until forming the complete tree and placed it next to the Cuban peasant.

Afterwards, with the help of watercolors and a paintbrush, I added some brushstrokes in green, black, brown, and orange tones to highlight details, deepen the colors, and bring more life to the creation.

As a final detail, I placed small shiny stones in the eyes of the little peasant to highlight his expression and added the magnets to the back of each element, leaving them ready to be placed on the refrigerator or other spaces in the home.

In this way, my decorative composition was completed, a creation inspired by our Cuban traditions.
