During a short visit to the mining town of Bor, where I was with several colleagues, we were looking for a place where we could refresh ourselves and drink coffee.

The interesting name and appearance of the bar attracted us, without asking what this bar has to offer.
Stara Kajla is actually a classic pub, and we realized that it has an interesting offer of beer, when we approached the bar with taps and sat down at a table, right under the wall on which there were very interesting signs.

On offer, in addition to the beers I had the opportunity to try before, they had two "local"
The beers Zlatna žila (Gold vein, Pale Ale) and Bakarna žica (Copper wire, Red Ale) were created at the request of the Stara Kajla pub in Bor.

Those two beers are a symbol of local mining pride in Bor, but they are actually produced in cooperation with the renowned craft brewery Kabinet (from Sopot).
The beer is branded specifically for the needs of the pub in Bor in order to offer guests an authentic experience that combines top craft quality with local tradition. The beers are a direct association to RTB Bor and mining history (gold vein in the rock and copper wire as the final product).
The team of beer brewing experts from the Kabinet brewery, which is known for precision and the use of quality raw materials, is responsible for the premium character of these two beers.
This is an excellent example of how a local bar can raise the level of the catering offer in the city by creating a product that is unique to that place in cooperation with the best domestic "craft masters".

Zlatna žila, Golden Vein (Pale Ale)
This beer is dominated by citrus (grapefruit, lemon peel) and mild floral notes originating from hops.
It has a golden-yellow color, it is slightly cloudy (which is typical for unfiltered craft beers), with a thin white foam.

A balanced ratio of malt and bitterness with a noticeable slight sweetness of biscuit or bread in the background, while the hops give a clean finish.
The beer is light and very drinkable, ideal for warmer days or longer consumption.
Since I wasn't behind the wheel that day, I also decided on a glass of Bakarna žica, Copper Wire (Red Ale / Amber Ale).

It is a beer with a focus on malt and has more complex aromas, a copper-red color, from which it got its name, with a creamy foam.
It is fuller-bodied than Zlatna žila, and it is dominated by the taste of caramel and toasted bread. Bitterness is in the background here, it only serves to balance the sweetness of the malt.
As it was a cold day, this "winter" beer was pleasant and left a long-lasting taste in the mouth.

While I was drinking these two beers, I was accompanied by a dog, obviously domestic, and the ambiance was also interesting with a motorcycle, a band area and interesting tables.
