As is well known, cats decided long ago that humans are merely a convenient food-delivery system. But some have gone further still — they’ve rejected even that arrangement in favor of the pure, unadulterated pleasure of doing absolutely nothing. This gray individual, judging by her demeanor, signed her Declaration of Independence sometime in kittenhood. She lies in the grass, demonstrating a remarkable talent for being entirely herself — even in the middle of an urban park.

If cats ever held contests for the best life, this model would surely win first prize in the category «Doing Nothing with Dignity.»
