EN CASA DE LOS ABUELOS [ESP/ENG]

Holis ¿Cómo se encuentran amores mío? Que han hecho de bueno, todo tranquilo en casita? Bueno quiero contarles que estas semanas han sido woo, triple woo, he trabajado, aprendido mucho, han pasado cosas en el trabajo que me dices, okey llegaras a vieja aquí y nunca de los nunca te aburrirás. NUNCA, bueno simplemente, mi vida estuvo algo muy parecido a un remolino.

Hey there, how are you all doing, my darlings? What’s been going on? Everything calm at home? Well, I want to tell you that these past few weeks have been wow, triple wow. I’ve been working, learnt loads, and things have happened at work that make you think, ‘OK, you’ll end up growing old here and you’ll never, ever get bored.’ NEVER. Well, quite simply, my life has been a bit like a whirlwind.

Todo comenzó, con las vacaciones de Yairi, mi compañera de trabajo se fue de vacaciones dos semanas, mi jefa no fue fuerte conmigo, no dejo que me estresara o que me abrumara con sobreinformación, pero okey aprendí muchas cosas que tal vez con la compañía de mi compi, no lo haría, entonces fue algo positivo.

It all started when Yairi went on holiday. My colleague went away for two weeks, and my boss wasn’t too hard on me; she didn’t let me get stressed or overwhelmed with too much information. But actually, I learnt a lot of things that I might not have learnt if my colleague had been there, so it turned out to be a positive experience.

Cuando llego mi compañera, justo mi mamá se iba de viaje con mi hermanito, entonces perdí permiso al principio no creí que me lo darían, no porque mi jefa sea una dictadura, jamás es todo lo contrario, o sea es como verme en el espejo en unos cuantos años, no sé cómo explicarle que es yo okey, literalmente, claro yo no tengo los dones culinarios, pero en lo demás si nos parecemos mucho. Okey, me dio permiso, me fui con mi familia a donde mis abuelos, pasamos el fin de semana, fue súper el primer día, el segundo día no hicimos nada interesante, solo hicimos pizza a fogón, y el tercer día, nos fuimos al río, fue increíble, era como estar en un paraíso olvidado, conectar con la naturaleza fue lo mejor que me ha pasado en la vida.

When my colleague arrived, my mum was just about to go on a trip with my little brother, so I got the day off. At first I didn’t think they’d give it to me – not because my boss is a tyrant, far from it, in fact; she’s like looking in a mirror a few years down the line. I don’t know how to explain that she’s just like me, okay? Literally. Of course, I don’t have her culinary skills, but in every other way we’re very similar. Right, she gave me permission, so I went with my family to my grandparents’ place. We spent the weekend there. The first day was brilliant; on the second day we didn’t do anything interesting, we just made pizza on the campfire; and on the third day, we went to the river. It was incredible; it was like being in a forgotten paradise. Connecting with nature was the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

No tengo muchas fotos de los momentos más cool, pero si las fotos instagram que nunca publique por miedo a que alguien dijera, ay mírenla nosotros trabajando y ella que es nueva hasta sale del estado, entonces para evitar esos comentarios envidiosos de personas que no entienden, preferí evitar problemas que podía causarle problemas a mi jefa, así que el fin de semana estuve en casa de mis abuelos y capaz esa casa queda en Macanao jaja. Bueno amigos esta es la muestra de mi vida en corto, hasta el próximo post amiguitos, los amu muchote, ¡hasta un próximo encuentro virtual!

I don’t have many photos of the coolest moments, but I do have the Instagram photos I never posted for fear that someone might say, ‘Oh look at her, we’re all working away and she’s the new girl and she’s even left the state.’ So, to avoid those envious comments from people who don’t understand, I preferred to steer clear of any trouble that might cause problems for my boss. So, at the weekend I was at my grandparents’ house, and actually, that house is in Macanao, haha. Well, friends, that’s a quick glimpse into my life.
