De Camino a Caripe [ESP-ENG]
Un día estaba en casa, aburrido, y decidií hacer algo que nunca me había atrevido a hacer: "buscar un plan turístico para salir de viaje". Acá en Venezuela todo es muy costoso, por lo que la simple idea de aventurarse a vacacionar suele rechinar en la cartera. De alguna forma, quizás mucha suerte, llegó a mí el rumor de que había opciones de viaje bastante económicas. Mi presupuesto era de apenas unos 30$, y acá en mi país eso es como no tener nada en los bolsillos. (😂).
Pues miren, ¡los rumores eran ciertos! conseguí un un plan de viaje de 11$ hacia Caripe, una zona muy popular acá en el oriente de Venezuela. La oferta incluía Varias paradas dentro del sitio turístico que les mencioné, entre estas se encontraban:
El parque nacional el Guacharo.
El mirador de caripe.
La casa de las fresas.
El viaje era en bus, eso sí, un bus cómodo. Aproveché la oportunidad y me aventuré, ¡y todo estuvo genial! Salvo que me había montado en el bus equivocado y por poco me voy con otra gente (🤣). Así que, he recopilado parte de algunos momentos de este viaje a Caripe para que, en caso de que estén en Venezuela (o no) puedan visitar este lugar alguna vez en su vida. De entrada les digo, que no se arrepentirán.

One day I was at home, bored, and I decided to do something I’d never dared to do before: “look for a travel deal to go on a trip.” Here in Venezuela, everything is really expensive, so the mere idea of going on vacation usually hits the wallet hard. Somehow—maybe I just got lucky—I heard a rumor that there were some pretty affordable travel options out there. My budget was just about $30, and here in my country, that’s like having nothing in your pockets. (😂).
Well, guess what? The rumors were true! I found an $11 travel package to Caripe, a very popular area here in eastern Venezuela. The package included several stops within the tourist area I mentioned, including:
El Guacharo National Park.
The Caripe Lookout.
The Strawberry House.
The trip was by bus—a comfortable one, though. I took the opportunity and went for it, and everything was great! Except that I had gotten on the wrong bus and almost ended up traveling with a different group of people (🤣). So, I’ve compiled some highlights from this trip to Caripe so that, whether you’re in Venezuela (or not), you can visit this place at least once in your life. I’ll tell you right off the bat: you won’t regret it.
