Many people imagine Cuba for its beaches or for its streets full of colors, but few wonder what the buildings are like where people live.

Muchas personas imaginan Cuba por sus playas o por sus calles llenas de colores, pero pocos se preguntan cómo son los edificios donde vive la gente.

Today I want to show you what one of them looks like, in addition to the views and those little everyday moments that I enjoy so much. Let's start by discovering the environment.

Hoy quiero mostrarles cómo se ve uno de ellos, además de las vistas y esos pequeños momentos cotidianos que tanto disfruto.Comencemos por descubrir el entorno.

From the heights of the building you can see the contrast between the city and nature: lots of greenery, open sky and a feeling of tranquility that is sometimes not perceived from the street.

Desde las alturas del edificio se puede ver el contraste entre la ciudad y la naturaleza: mucho verde, cielo abierto y una sensación de tranquilidad que a veces no se percibe desde la calle.

Like many buildings in Cuba, it has simple spaces but full of life. In them you can see the passage of time and the imprint of those who have passed through here. Some have left their mark in the form of graffiti, names or small declarations of love written on the walls, as if they wanted their memories to remain.
Silent witnesses of those moments are the stairs that we all walk every day and the rooftops, where it seems that the sky is getting a little closer to the earth.

Como muchos edificios en Cuba, tiene espacios simples pero llenos de vida. En ellos se puede ver el paso del tiempo y la huella de quienes han pasado por aquí. Algunos han dejado su marca en forma de grafitis, nombres o pequeñas declaraciones de amor escritas en las paredes, como si quisieran que sus recuerdos permanecieran.Testigos silenciosos de esos momentos son las escaleras que todos recorremos cada día y las azoteas, donde parece que el cielo se acerca un poco más a la tierra.

One of the things I enjoy the most is watching how the light changes throughout the day. Sometimes the sun enters through the windows in a way that transforms the environment and even the mood. Everything is filled with calm, as if for a moment I were in a fairy tale.

Una de las cosas que más disfruto es observar cómo cambia la luz a lo largo del día. A veces el sol entra por las ventanas de una forma que transforma el ambiente y hasta el estado de ánimo. Todo se llena de calma, como si por un instante estuviera en un cuento de hadas.

Sometimes I like to just sit and watch the sunset from here. And I take the opportunity to take some photos, trying to capture those moments of peace that appear in the middle of the routine.

En ocasiones me gusta simplemente sentarme a mirar el atardecer desde aquí. Y aprovecho para tomar algunas fotos, intentando capturar esos momentos de paz que aparecen en medio de la rutina.

This building is not just a place to live. It is also a small viewpoint from which I can find tranquility in a life that sometimes feels too hectic. Small everyday details that, in some way, make Cuban buildings unique.

Este edificio no es solo un lugar donde vivir. También es un pequeño mirador desde el que puedo encontrar tranquilidad en una vida que a veces se siente demasiado agitada.Pequeños detalles cotidianos que, de alguna manera, hacen únicos a los edificios cubanos.
